BILLIE WARD
The first page of this history refers to a report in the Worlds Fair of the Wall of Death at Southend. Two riders named are Billie and Marjorie Ward.
Evidence suggests that they were certainly still in South Africa in April of that year as there is a letter to Billie Ward written by non other than Malcolm Campbell.

Clearly, the Wall of Death made a great impression on him, as it still does to those who watch it today!
There is, seemingly, little other information about the Wards. A later report in the Worlds Fair has Billie Ward riding at Belle Vue in Manchester.
During the 1940's Bille Ward 'borrowed' a car from one of his relatives, went to Tel Aviv and was never heard of again!
Two other pictures, below, show Billie and Marjorie Ward inside the Wall and Billie Ward riding the Wall.

My grateful thanks goes to Dudley Ward for the pictures and the copy of the letter from Malcolm Campbell.
